11/5/18
On Monday, the 5 of November, the Digital and Interactive Media teams took a trip to the LSU main campus in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Starting the day in the Patrick F. Taylor Hall on campus, we took a tour of the facility where most computer science and engineering classes take place. After this, we proceeded to the next part of the tour which took us to the more art based courses. This included photography, computer design, performing arts, and other similar arts. After this segment of the tour, we went on to have lunch and continued to the most interesting part of the tour. The teams we listened to a lecture about video game design and were offered the opportunity to make a version of the game "Asteroid" on the spot. Overall I enjoyed the experience and found the trip to be very informative and allowed for a better idea of what college life entails and what the classes could be like.
